Agroforestry Open Weekend 16th-18th May 2025

Agroforestry here at the farm

We have been integrating trees into many of our horticultural cropping areas over the last 8 years and have different agroforestry systems now in our Market Garden, Field scale areas and Glasshouse. They all consist of different trees, bringing a variety of benefits to our veg production and introducing new crop lines to sell in our shop and use in our vegetable cropping. Trees include Peaches, Nectarines, Cherries, Apricots, Asian Pears, Green gages, Plums, Saskatoons, Medlars, Quinces, Apples, Alders, Hazels, Elders, Spindles and Willows.

Friday 16th May 10am - 12pm

Head Grower Andy Dibben will be giving an in depth tour of the Agroforestry Systems at the farm, covering all aspects of system design and establishment. This will be suitable for all visitors whatever their background, experience and interests.

Please let us know in advance if you would like to join us for the tour by emailing name and number of people to : hilary@theorganicfarmshop.co.uk

Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th May 10am - 12pm

Visitors are welcome to look around the Agroforestry system. Information cards will be available in the shop to provide full information. We would also encourage people to look around our Market Garden, Glasshouse and Polytunnels whilst here to see a wide variety of Organic growing techniques in action.

Facilities and Refreshments
Our Farm shop and Cafe are open during visiting hours offering a wide range of organic homemade food, much from the farm itslef) and refreshments to be consumed on the day or taken home to be enjoyed after your visit.

Parking and Access

Plenty of parking is available at the Farm Shop, please follow the signs through to the OVERFLOW car park.

Dogs
We have a wide range of livestock on the farm so do not allow dogs out of cars on this side of the farm. There are many good dog walking options on other parts of the farm, all details here. Thank you for respecting this.

Disability access
Our Parking, Shop and Cafe have good disabled access. The Agroforestry field and other vegetable areas although very flat and easy to access in dry weather, do not have surfaced paths so can become problematic in wet weather.
