Dairy and Livestock Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic livestock manager to join us on our 650ha mixed organic farm.
We are looking for someone to take forward the daily management of our 40 cow organic dairy herd (soon to be 65ish) as well as our small beef, pig & poultry enterprises supplying the onsite farm shop.
Duties will include day to day milking and working management of the of the dairy herd, followers and all other livestock.
Good communication skills, a positive and flexible mindset are key. High animal welfare, excellent attention to detail and good record keeping are essential. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in organic farming principles (and love cows!).
You will be part of the wider farm team (growers, bakers, shopkeepers, butcher, chefs, educators and more) who are all passionate about producing local food, safeguarding biodiversity and welcoming people to the farm.
Salary depending on experience.
3 bedroom semi detached modern cottage available, metres from the farmyard.

Experienced Person Required For On Farm Poultry Processing
Must be able to slaughter, wet pluck, dress, portion and package
our organic, slow growing, farm reared poultry.
Working in our small abattoir and processing room
to produce high quality products for sale in our Organic Farm Shop
Relevant slaughtering licence and CIEH level 2 food hygiene certificate essential.
Some record keeping to EHO/Soil Association standards required.
Approx 6 hours every Thursday.
