JOINING THE TEAM ON THE FARM

With great food - organic, fresh and often grown outside the door, there are often new opportunities to join us.

So if you love the farm, share our ethos and understand that hard work is why we are still here, do get in touch by filling in our application form here in case something is coming up that might suit. Please note that everyone who comes to work here needs to be available for some weekend work as well as in the week and during school holidays.

Shop work.

The shop team has two jobs at the moment.

1) Every Sunday and part time in the holidays. Experience useful but not essential. (This can be for a student but is not a first job)

2) Wednesdays and Thursdays and some weekend days on a rota.

A real interest in environmental issues/local food needed for both jobs, plus the ability to be on your feet all day and lift relatively heavy boxes.

Nb there is no public transport to the farm so we are only looking for very local applicants if you do not drive.

Experienced Person Required For On Farm Poultry Processing

Must be able to slaughter, wet pluck, dress, portion and package
our organic, slow growing, farm reared poultry.
Working in our small abattoir and processing room
to produce high quality products for sale in our Organic Farm Shop

Relevant slaughtering licence and CIEH level 2 food hygiene certificate essential.
Some record keeping to EHO/Soil Association standards required.

Approx 6 hours every Thursday.
