The Shop and Cafe are getting busier and busier as they should (great food - organic, fresh and mainly grown outside the door) and there are often opportunities to join the team.

NURSERY PRACTITIONER with strong eco-credentials

LEVEL 3 OR ABOVE ESSENTIAL - FULL TIME OR PART TIME

40 hours a week.

The Farm Nursery (16 x 2 to 5 yr olds) is set in the heart of a large mixed organic working farm. The nursery is only 20 months old and already has a two year waiting list.
We are now concentrating on attracting a new practitioner with strong environmental credentials to help make the most of our amazing resource. The successful applicant needs to understand the need to tread more lightly on our earth and be able to demonstrate how they would share with the little ones how we can do this.

We are keenly seeking someone who
* would be excited to go on all day adventures out on the farm with picnics/cooking on the fire, den building, playing under the trees, weaving stories and singing songs about nature (leaving all the usual toys behind)
* can give our 2-5 yr olds a fun educational environment drawing your inspiration from the woods, fields and vegetable garden that surround the nursery
* has excellent communication skills
* has a good knowledge of the natural world
* is flexible and enthusiastic, with a 'can do’ attitude and willing to work as part of a highly motivated, professional and friendly small team

Forest School training preferred.
Subject to clear enhanced DBS.

The nursery food is 100% organic and vegetarian except occasional farm sausages cooked over the fire (optional!).

Student Weekend Kitchen Helper

Saturday job washing up and general cafe duties plus extra work in the holidays. Suit a student (15 or 16 years) who is interested in organic food and farming/environmental issues. Please email Hilary with cv and letter of interest.

Dairy Processing Assistant - Part time

We are looking for a local helper to assist in our micro dairy, learning to process our farm milk one day a week and helping to keep the dairy clean and tidy.

The ideal applicant will be of a tidy nature, with good understanding of hygiene, an interest in local food production and with a can do enthusiastic attitude.

Thursdays 5 hours approx.
Every other Friday 2ish hours.
Covering Dairy processing manager holidays when fully trained.

Full training will be given, although having worked in the catering/processing world would be an advantage.

Please note this job does involve some heavyish lifting.
