Cook/Chef vacancy - life in the countryside - no split shifts, no evenings, great 100% organic produce to work with, lovely team!

We are looking for a permanent, fulltime, experienced chef/cook who also enjoys front of house work to join our lovely team of 4 chef/cooks.

This job is perfect for someone who wants to leave the demanding world of cheffing and settle down to live a more relaxed (after work!) life. The job is varied; cooking within a team for the café and the shop, plus working in the open kitchen doing service and making our signature salads The kitchen abhors shouting and everyone washes up.

If you are passionate about/very interested in particularly vegetarian, organic/local food. Inspired and excited by muddy organic vegetables straight from the field. Undaunted by lots of pastry making. Enjoy working both in the kitchen and with the public, have a flexible can do attitude and be happy to muck in with whatever needs doing at busy times this might suit you well!

The cafe is 100% organic, one of only a small handful of restaurants certified by the Soil Association in the UK.

This is a full time position of 37 - 40 hours approx.

DAIRY PROCESSING TECHNICIAN to start asap - permanent position

A unique opportunity for an experienced dairy processing person to join the diverse
team on the farm to produce the dairy products for the Farm Shop from the small
Shorthorn herd on the farm.
They will be responsible for the day to day working and management of the micro
dairy processing unit which produces liquid milk, yoghurt, cream, butter and soft
and hard cheeses for the farm shop.
The successful applicant needs to:
Have experience in dairy processing
Be a good record keeper.
Enjoy working alone a lot of the time.
Enjoy early starts (not before 6!)
Demonstrate an interest and enthusiasm for dairy produce and local food production and a can do attitude to the job with a flexible nature.

Approx 15 - 20 hours a week - generally weekdays with occasional weekends.
Hourly rate dependant on experience.
Non smokers only.
