Our licence has been granted! we now have a fab range of places you can have your actual marriage ceremony on the farm.
* our lovely large green oak room
* the terrace garden (a little arbour for the ceremony, the guests on the terrace)
* the verandah cafe (in or out) this venue depends on time of day
* the little garden ( our teaching garden) a verandah fronted hut for the ceremony
* the magical glade (an open fronted hut in the woods)

Below are some ideas for the reception. The ceremony timing can be linked to any of the below. It is also possible to have the ceremony earlier in the day with just a few guests, then a special family lunch before the main reception starts.
1) Afternoon/Evening Wedding Reception
A lovely big space for eating and music for up to 180 people - using the green room for greeting, eating and dancing for up to 80 guests and the verandah cafe after 6.30pm as an extra space if over 80 guests are expected.
The structure of the day can be tailor made, here are some suggested timings for the option above that have worked well.
3pm Guests arrive, have a hot/cold drink and snack if desired (sometimes people have travelled a long way
3.30pm Proceed to the stone circle by tractor and trailor or walking, 20 min walk along the old railway line for service/blessing.
5-5.30pm Return to the green room for reception with champagne/choice of drinks/canapes
6.30pm Wedding meal - buffet style food seated.
8pmish Music, dancing (paying bar available) in the green room
10pm (or 11pm for an extra cost) retire to accomodation on or off farm
COST; Green Room venue from 3pm - 10pm £1650 plus vat - verandah cafe available price dependant on numbers. Extra hour £150 plus vat to 11pm
2) Lunchtime Wedding meal
A lovely big space which can be used Weds - Sat during the day for up to 75 people for a buffet style seated meal/reception.

11.30 or 12 Meet at the Green Room (option to take a tractor ride to the stone circle for a blessing/ceremony.)
1.30ish Reception with drinks/canapes then enjoy a buffet lunch with live or recorded music.
Depart by 3.30pm
After lunch you could enjoy a walk in the woods if the sun is shining.
COST; Green Room venue from 11.30am - 3.30pm £550 plus vat
FOOD
Hot or cold buffets (2 courses) cost from £35 per head for vegetarians and from £40 per head for meat/fish. Children are half price up to 12 years and up to 2 years are free. (we have baby food here)
We can provide a wide range of dishes from our award winning kitchen. Vegetarian or meat (always from the farm itself), we specialise in fresh organic local food, and welcome catering for special diets. We can talk you through what will be ready in the garden or on the farm at the time of your wedding, including the flowers we grow or what is in the hedgerows.
Extras can include tea/coffee, fruit bowls, cheese boards & the wedding cake.
DRINKS
All the drinks are provided by the venue and it all has organic certification. This does not mean it has to cost the earth. House red and white wines start at £13 bottle, Cava and Champagne are also available.
Lots of local beers and cider, homemade cordials made from garden summer fruits and spring water is free from our own bore hole.
FLOWERS
Flowers are provided by the venue and costs depend on the time of year.
Our cut flowers and our vegetables are at their best from mid july to beginning of October.
We can provide anything from simple jam jars to beautiful contemporary button holes and bouquets.
THE MAGICAL GLADE AND STONE CIRCLE
The stone circle is about 25 minutes walk away up the old railway line deep into the farm. We offer the tractor and trailor to take and collect. It holds up to 35 people at a time. COST; £50 per trip including return journey.
