Tess has over 7 years experience designing lighting and products for interiors, as well as being involved in a range of sculpture and installation projects; whether in the community, collaborating with other artists, or making artworks for events.
Alongside her current practise she teaches basket making as a therapeutic craft to young people with special educational and behavioural needs at Ruskin Mill College near Stroud, Gloucestershire.
During her studies on a City and Guilds Basketry qualification she became hooked in exploring the endless ways that pattern and texture can be woven into structure and form. She now loves working mainly in willow which connects her to the land and to a craft that is functional as well as beautiful.
