A Day of Weaving Willow Garden Structures POSTPONED

Have you ever looked at structures in garden centres and thought to yourself – I could do that if only I had the right material and tools – well now is your chance! We will start with a tall wigwam shape suitable for sweet peas or beans, then there will be a fan shaped support that could go against a wall or fence, perhaps you would like to make a little trellis or small hurdle and then if there is some time left you could finish with an attractive bird feeder or dragonfly. All materials and tools are supplied by the tutor so you do not need to bring anything BUT PLEASE leave plenty of space in your car for the journey home – some of the structures are

Norah made her first basket nearly thirty years ago and then trained with Swindon based basketmaker Bryn Mathews and has travelled to study the work of basketmakers in Ireland and Poland.
Norah is now a full time basketmaker and tutor – teaching day and residential courses all year round She works to commission in addition to producing a range of baskets for sale and has expanded her range to include willow Christmas decorations, garden plant supports and living willow structures. The bulk of her willow comes from Musgrove Willows in Westonzoyland but she also incorporates more unusual coloured willows from Powys and Herefordshire
