HEN/STAG PARTIES IN THE FOUR YURT ECO CAMP
the yurts at abbey home farm are an exciting and unusual venue, perfect for hens and friends looking for something that doesnt involve clubs or pubs. This venue is of particular appeal to people interested in where their food comes from – we grow enough to eat from the farm all weekend and you can see how our food is produced on one of our famous trailer rides. ( with an option of organic champagne on board and the chance to deck the trailer in pink if you feel like it too....!)
at the camp there is a big outdoor fireplace and kitchen area, fully equipped for camp cooking and a woodburner in one of the yurts which gets lovely and warm if its cold or rainy. the yurt camp holds up to 18 day or night, maximum.
Meals can be diy on the campfire and/or in the cafe at lunchtime

arrive friday night at the yurt camp, have a barbque boxed up ready by us using farm meat and veggies. £10 per person
sat am farm tour on the trailer or walk, fun and informative and maybe collect the eggs form the real hens on the farm!
sat lunch eat at the cafe or picnic at the yurts
sat afternoon - team up for a scavenger hunt, or do some green woodworking, grow some veggies .........
sat evening cook some of our chicken and other meats raised on the farm (or veggie equiv)on the campfire, chill out round the campfire and count the stars or come for a night walk with us
sun am fry up or simple breakfast
relax for the morning
sun lunch in the cafe or picnic
slowly clear up and wend your way home, or stay another night, the yurt camp is yours until monday at 11am.
the green woodworking, cookery ready steady go challenge using farm produce, willow weaving and bushcraft are all dependant on availability so do ask us if you are interested in specific activities before you arrange your date.

We had a really great time - I think a couple in the group were a little sceptical of my plan when I first told them, but then everyone ended up having a great laugh. I found it all very easy indeed to get it sorted with all of the team at the farm, all the way through from making the initial booking. I appreciated you chasing me up when I hadn't got the answers you needed, as I think you also appreciated that organising a larger group (partic. boys), and that was carried through to our stay and the scavenger hunt. We all thought it was very refreshing not to be overloaded with Health and Safety warnings and rules and regs, and rather given a degree of trust and freedom to enjoy the brilliant camp and farm, which is just wonderful by the way! The hunt was really fun, and well pitched for the group, and I was really pleased we went for that option.
