Private Campsite/Special Occasion Field
We have a small field space beside a 200 year old oak wood available for private family gatherings, with a maximum capacity of 50 people inclusive of children with very limited carparking space. please note if booking this field there would be the additional cost of the shepherds hut which lives there! and sleeps two adults
The lane to this field is not suited for lots of traffic going backwards and forwards but is great for people looking for a 'stay put' camp. Please note this is not a party venue
Costs and regs.
If you are interested in booking this field area please take time to read below before calling to book.
1) Maximum of 50 people including children and day visitors
2) Field left as found 100% litter free - there is recycling in the farmshop carpark, you will need to take all other rubbish away with you.
3) No amplified music or noise disturbance/drumming after 10pm
4) Parking just outside the field for TWO vehicles only over the stay.
Cars can be driven up to the gate for unloading and loading only and then taken down to the farm shop overflow carpark for the duration of stay. Car park is 15-20 mins or 4 mins on a bike from the field. It is mainly tarmac so great for kids biking.
5) Standard size camper vans allowed on site (advance warning needed)
6) No generators on site
7) There is a large communal fireplace. No other fires or braziers on site. Dry
wood is available to buy at £40 per load. This lasts most people the weekend. Please state if you want wood at time of booking site.
8) There is a compost loo and a cold water tap on site. Please use the loo and not the wood.
Wiggold wood is a long established nature reserve. Please do not collect any dead wood, it is an important habitat for small creatures.
FIELD DEPOSIT
You will need to lodge £250 deposit with us to guarantee respect of above rules.
Cars kept at site other than unloading and unloading will attract a £20 deduction each and is the responsibility of the organiser.
